What began with Ole Hanson’s initial plantings has evolved into a tapestry of over 30 distinct gardens that celebrate California’s unique coastal environment while emphasizing water conservation and native plant species.
Perhaps most remarkable is the historic Yucca plant, planted by Ole Hanson himself in 1927, which continues to thrive in the Bluff Top Gardens nearly a century later.
On the property’s perimeter, rare Monterey First trees frame the Woodland Garden, creating a peaceful transition between cultivated spaces and wild coastal nature.
Bemus is the landscape maintenance company for one of my most densely populated communities that I manage.
