Bemus Landscape Partners with YAPS to Save Dogs & Cats

Bemus Landscape is proud to have a partnership with Yucaipa Valley Animal Placement Society (YAPS).  YAPS is a no-kill, non-profit animal rescue facility that strives to prevent euthanasia of dogs and cats in shelters throughout the region. The organization provides a temporary safe haven until a permanent loving home can be found.

YAPS was born when one woman decided to rescue an abandoned dog in rural Yucaipa.  She resolved to make a difference in that dog’s life. In 1957, Betty Martines started taking in discarded and neglected pets and housed them on her property in Yucaipa. Without realizing it, she would become a rescue pioneer. 60 years later, YAPS has grown to help cats and dogs across Southern California.

YAPS is one of two 501 (C) 3, licensed rescue facilities in San Bernardino County for cats and dogs. For the past 3 consecutive years, YAPS has adopted 600+ pets each year.

Bemus Landscape provides commercial and HOA landscape maintenance services throughout the Inland Empire and is pleased to have the opportunity to support this organization.
